- "I Have A Dream" is the title of the famous speech given by American civil rights activist Martin Luther King Jr in 1963, calling for the end of racism in America, where the Statue of Liberty is located.
- "London Calling" is the title of both song and studio album by The Clash released in 1979.
- "Curse of the Black Pearl" is a direct reference to the 2003 movie Pirates Of The Caribbean: Curse Of The Black Pearl.
- "My Heart Will Go On" is a reference to the song of the same name by Celine Dion, sung for the fictional movie "Titanic" based during the tragedy of 1912.
- "Chattanooga Choo Choo" is likely a reference to either the movie of the same name from 1984, or the song of the same name released in 1941.
- "King Kong lives" references the 1933 movie King Kong, in which a large ape climbs the Empire State Building during the finale.
- "Bazinga" is a catchphrase of Sheldon Cooper, a fictional character from the American sitcom The Big Bang Theory.

- The "2012 - it's almost here" achievement is automatically unlocked upon completing the tutorial as of December 2012, no matter when the game is first played.
